  • Elects other officers for affairs of the convocation, such as Convocation Treasurer and Assistant Coordinator.

  • Plans convocation meetings, special projects, etc.

  • Meets twice a year for worship, study and fellowship.

  • Has a January board meeting with all ECW presidents in convocation.

  • Hosts annual Fall Conference once every seven years on a rotating basis. (See chart below)  The Events Coordinator will assist with planning.

FALL CONFERENCE is an annual event featuring a speaker, sharing time for parishes, fellowship and dinner, a business meeting and time for prayer and relaxation.  Each parish sends two delegates for the business meeting.   The Memorial Roll (see right) of all the church women who have died in the previous year is read each year at the Conference during the Prayers of the People at the closing Eucharist.  The Book of Remembrance will be on display also at the Conference.

Fall Conference is open to all people of the diocese. Clergy are encouraged to attend all or part of the conference.

Registration information is available from your parish ECW president, your convocation coordinator, and this website.

The 2010 Fall Conference will be hosted by the Cheaha Convocation.
