The annual Calendar Handbook of the ECW of the Diocese of Alabama is distributed at Fall Convocation meetings and at Fall Conference or you may safely download an electronic version in Adobe Reader format using the link on left.  Two calendars are given to each parish.  Additional calendars may be ordered at cost from the President-Elect, no later than July 31st for the next year.

April 30 The Montgomery Convocation will have their Spring Meeting Thursday, April 30 from 9:30 - 11:30am at Grace Episcopal Church in Mt. Meigs, Alabama. A horticulturist will give a tour of their beautiful gardens and there will be fellowship and a short program.

60th Annual Women's Weekend at Camp McDowell

Our speaker this year is Sissie Wile, the Interim Director for the Education for Ministry (EFM) program at the School of Theology in Sewanee.  Sissie is from Mississippi and has been active in the EFM program for many years.  She is a new grandmother, and her program will center on the 2009 ECW theme “St. Anne, Grandmother of Our Savior,” with talks on a grandparent’s love.

July 31 Attention ECW Presidents:  Each parish in our Diocese will receive two CALENDAR HANDBOOKS each year.  The calendar handbook will be available at Fall Conference or from your Convocation Coordinator.  If you need extras, you may order as many as you wish at $3.00 each.  If you have a date set for an event in the next calendar year, please send your information and orders to the President Elect by July 31.
August - early September Support the college students from your parish by sending their names to the college chaplains in our diocese.

120th Annual ECW Fall Conference, hosted by the Tennessee Valley Convocation at St. Matthew's Church in Madison.  Contact:  Tennessee Valley Convocation Chair

 

Katerina Katsarka Whitley will be our speaker for our 2009 Fall Conference.  She is an author and speaker and has been a communication adjunct at Appalachian State University since 2001.  She says “Jesus expects us to be the light of the world.  For me writing is a response to the Light.”
