WOMEN'S WEEKEND

60th Annual Women’s Weekend

May 15 - 17, 2009 at Camp McDowell

Deadline for registration and payment: May 1, 2009

Deadline extended!

Our speaker this year is Sissie Wile, the Interim Director for the Education for Ministry (EFM) program at the School of Theology in Sewanee.  Sissie is from Mississippi and has been active in the EFM program for many years.  She is a new grandmother, and her program will center on grandmothers and grandparent love, around our 2009 ECW theme St. Anne, Grandmother of Our Savior.

Registration will begin at 4 pm Friday.

Upon arrival at camp you'll have the opportunity to sign up for workshops to be held Saturday afternoon.  The workshops offered this year will incorporate the Grandparent Love theme.

We will hold a Silent Auction with the proceeds benefiting ECW scholarships.  Due to space requirements we are asking that each convocation donate one or two items for auction.  Please contact Brandi Thomas at 256-326-1208.

The Episcopal Book Store will be set up with the usual great books and gift items for your browsing and shopping pleasure.

Saturday afternoon- Book Signing

During Saturday afternoon, we will be joined by Adele Bibb Colvin, author of a series of books titled The Donkey's Tales.  Adele would be more than happy to autograph your copy of her book.  The bookstore promises to have plenty of copies available for purchase, just in case you haven't had a chance to get yours yet.   Read more about her book...

We will celebrate Eucharist in the new Chapel of St. Francis!

If you play an easy-to-bring instrument, please feel free to bring it along!!  Music for the weekend will be from the Alleluia III song book.

Please plan to attend this wonderful weekend of fun, food and fellowship at Camp McDowell May 15 – 17, 2009.
