ECW PRAYER Almighty God, bless we pray, our working mission and ministry in the world and make us so thankful for the precious gift to your beloved Son, that we may pray fervently, labor diligently and give liberally to make known throughout the world the redeeming love of our Savior. Amen.
FOR TODAY O God, Give me the strength to live another day; Let me not turn coward before its difficulties or prove recreant to its duties; Let me not lose faith in other people; Keep me sweet and sound of heart, in spite of ingratitude, treachery or meanness; Preserve me from minding little stings or giving them; Help me to keep my heart clean and to live so honestly and fearlessly that no outward failure can dishearten me or take away the joy of conscious integrity; Open wide the eyes of my soul that I may see good in all things; Grant me this day some new vision of they truth; Inspire me with the spirit of joy and goodness; and make me the cup of strength to suffering souls; in the name of the strong Deliverer, our only Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.
FOR LOVE TOWARD GOD O Thou Who are the Light of the minds that know Thee, the life of the souls that love Thee, and the Strength of the wills that serve Thee; help us so to know Thee that we may truly love Thee, so to love Thee that we may fully serve Thee, Whom to serve is perfect freedom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
THE CHURCH PERIODICAL CLUB PRAYER Bless, O Lord, the Church Periodical Club that it may be an instrument for the spread of your word throughout the world. Grant to its officers wisdom and patience, to its members perseverance and the spirit of sharing that asks no return. Bring many more to take part in its work of service. Bless our gifts and those who receive them to the enrichment of individual lives that we may all be servants of the risen Lord. Amen.
UNITED THANK OFFERING PRAYER O God, who art the hope of all peoples everywhere, we thank Thee for the outpourings of love and generosity which have enabled us to respond to some of the world’s needs in places far and near; guide us as we face changing times and new frontiers; keep our hearts thankful and our vision clear as we seek to fulfill our ministry as members of the body of thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
CLOSING PRAYER May God be within us to refresh us; around us to protect us; before us to guide us; above us to hold us up; Who lives and reigns, One God, world without end. Amen. |
